My absolute favorite place to go for a same-day photo excursion from Baton Rouge is Lake Martin just below Breaux Bridge, LA - a little over an hour away. This amazing place is teeming with gators (some are seriously big!) and waterfowl of all kinds, as well as raptors, snakes, turtles, and more. It’s basically a little slice of South Louisiana Heaven!!!
