Gentle Shepherd Christian Preschool was founded in January of 1993 by Somerset Hills Lutheran Church. It is a non-profit educational facility with a mission to maximize the spiritual, cognitive, personal, social, and physical development of young children. Licensed by the state of New Jersey, teachers need or exceed the requirements set forth by the state for preschool education. All children are
encouraged to learn through active exploration of their child-centered environment, helping to develop positive self-esteem, self-control, and independence. Strong pre-K academic preparation, following “The Creative Curriculum” teaching strategies, cognitive and perceptual skill development, language, music, art and large and small motor skills.
