🎭 Happy World Theatre Day!!! It feels so fitting that this day occurs in March. This month is always very exciting since I get to see so many of my students performing in their school musicals. 🤩 Whether they are playing their dream roles or enjoying their first time in the cast, it is always a joy to see them experience these special moments!

This March began with the Ridge HS production of “Something Rotten” where I got a closeup view of these talented students from my conductor’s podium in the pit. Then, it was “Annie,” at WAMS, “Addams Family” at HBES and “Seussical” at CPS. Next up this spring, I’m excited to see another one of my students play Eponine in “Les Miserables” and two students play the role Belle in their school productions of “Beauty and the Beast.” I couldn’t be more proud of these amazing students!😍

Theatre has been such an important part of my life and I know many others who have been impacted by this wonderful art. Whether my students pursue this professionally or join a production for the experience, it can truly be life-changing. I hope they take the skills they learn in theatre with them in whatever they pursue. Theatre teaches teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving, creative-thinking, empathy, interpersonal skills, sustained focus, perseverance, how to connect to an audience, and so much more! Congrats to all of my private students, campers, and school students (some I’ve known and worked with since kindergarten and are now seniors 🤯) on your hard work and outstanding performances. I hope you are as proud as I am! 👏🎶🎭 Enjoy this World Theatre Day and reflect on the positive impact theatre has had on your life.
