T.I. acknowledged the impact of Shawty Lo's 2008 hit "Dey Know" and shook his hand telling him that it was a hit. That was all before realizing it was a diss track aimed at him during their Atlanta feud. Despite the heated rivalry over Bankhead, T.I. admitted he initially respected the record's sound and popularity, not knowing it was mocking him.
T.I. responded with "What Up, What’s Haapnin’," released in 2008 on Paper Trail. T.I. filmed the music video in Shawty Lo's own neighborhood to solidify his own credibility.

I’ve been here a while, and always felt the love but in life things change. They evolve. The love and respect people have for you but most importantly the love and respect you have for yourself. I’m honored to be in this position, to know I’ve given everything I have to this life so far. Trying to redesign and reinvent just to pour back in is always on the top of my to-do list every single chance I get.
I say that to say this: there’s a lot on the way. I’ve compiled 3 albums worth of music, not including the debut album being sent to master.
This Friday Next Cinderella w/ is dropping along with a few other brand new joint in the weeks coming.
