So in August, I embarked on one of my first hardscape projects. And it was quite a huge project to start out on. But man did it turn out well. (Check the last pic to see the before)

This is a prime example of what a lawn in dire need of some dethatching/aeration/over-seeding looks like!

On the left is before we did the work, and on the right is 2 weeks later after some fertilizer and watering!

Explanation of the process-

We first cut the lawn down short and remove the clippings. Then we dethatch the entire lawn and remove the dead grass clippings as well (opens up the soil) . After dethatching we then go ahead and aerate the property (decompresses soil), and to finish it off we overseed the entire property to help fill in any bare spots etc!

It is recommended to do this in early spring or fall. Aeration usually is best 1-2 times a year. Dethatching should be done every few years minimum!
