Cristina Uribe has been a student at the Adult Learning Center since 2020, at the start of the pandemic. She always valued education and wanted something more for herself. In her home country, Cristina was a math teacher. She believed in the idea of always striving for something greater. “I don’t want to fail” is a motto that she held close to her as she began to pave her way. She studied all the core GED subjects at the ALC and has even continued to study English on her own. Cristina has been making bounds within her education at ALC and was able to pass her GED exam and obtain her Maryland High School diploma! She is a shining example of what makes the ALC great!
