Alicia Jones, Treasurer I’m a veteran with radical hope that government can actually work for the people - not for the politicians. I was born in Baltimore, and here is where I learned what service, hard work, and community really mean. If you ask anyone what their favorite part of Baltimore is, they always say the people. And the people des
erve better. I’ve worn a lot of hats in my life - serving my country in uniform, my community as a volunteer firefighter, and my city as the owner of a small veteran-owned business. I was a high school government teacher in this city and worked in government roles focused on national security and emergency management - all rooted in one simple principle: helping people and protecting what matters most. My wife, Alicia, and I have built our lives here. And despite those who constantly attack our city, we’ve seen how powerful it is when neighbors come together with honesty, humility, and heart. We’re a big city with a small-town feel. Somwhere along the way, politicians have forgotten about the people. Decisions that should be made for us are too often made about us - behind closed doors, by lobbyists and career politicians. That’s not democracy. In a moment when our democratic institutions are under real pressure, protecting democracy isn’t optional - it’s the job. We need leaders who listen, tell the truth, and put people over power. Leaders who actually show up in our communities and care. Baltimore deserves to have a voice that can’t be bought, silenced, or ignored. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. People deserve housing they can actually afford and public schools that give every kid a fair shot - no matter their neighborhood, race, or economic background. I’ll work to lower energy costs for families and fight the unregulated expansion of data centers. I’ll fight for term limits - because no one should make a career out of representing the people. Leadership should be a privilege, not a profession. And when a president who wants to be king threatens our home, I’ll stand up and fight with all I have - like I’ve always done before. Working people deserve more. I know that firsthand because I’m one of them. The machine may have power and money, but we have each other. Together, we can take back our voice. This isn’t a campaign - it’s an opportunity to lift Baltimore and our neighbors higher. Real leadership doesn’t come from titles. It comes from neighbors who refuse to give up on each other. And I’m ready to bring that spirit of courage, compassion, and collaboration back to Baltimore - and to protect the democracy we all depend on. So, let’s get started.
