Camp Spark wrapped up with an incredible Day 2 filled with hands-on learning, leadership, and celebration! Campers gained valuable knowledge in fire prevention, CPR, Stop the Bleed training, fire extinguisher use, and human trafficking awareness while continuing to build confidence and teamwork. A special thank you to Jennifer Williams and the Fire Safety Research Institute for teaching our campers about fire prevention. The day concluded with a graduation ceremony celebrating the hard work and growth of every participant—congratulations to the Camp Spark Class of 2026!

Dedicated to connecting with Baltimore’s next generation, Chief Wallace met today with participants from the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development YouthWorks program.
He spoke with the group about the many career pathways available within the Baltimore City Fire Department and shared the pride, purpose, and fulfillment that come with serving the people of Baltimore. Chief Wallace encouraged the participants to explore opportunities in fire suppression, emergency medical services, communications, administration, and other areas of public service.
BCFD remains committed to inspiring young people and helping them discover meaningful careers that allow them to make a difference in their communities.
