It was born in 2007 in a basement of the home of founder Demetric "MEACH" Gillespie in an abandoned and desolate area of North St. What the area lacked in financial stability it more than made up in a strong sense of community. ‘Meach’ the then 24 year old founder of Patches Clothing Coalition ,or more often Patches is about the beauty in the struggle.
