This week, we stepped outside the homes we clean and into the community we serve.

We handed out care bags on the street with simple food items people could use right away.
We volunteered at Catholic Charities of Baltimore, serving lunch with friends, laughter, and connection for Our Daily Bread.
We donated clothing and essentials to JOY BALTIMORE, repurposed from items generously given to us by clients.

Giving back doesn’t have to be complicated.
It starts with one question:

“Could someone use this in the next 24 hours if they needed it?”

We joined founder Lonnie Walker, The La Chow Onyx Events, FutureThink Hub, and AZIZA PE&CE to help serve hundreds of Baltimore residents a warm holiday meal.

Our team prepared Fresh Start hygiene kits filled with essentials and non-perishable food items, and we supported the free clothing boutique organized by Saran Fossett of Aziza Peace. It was a day filled with good food, community, and connection.

Yesterday, 12-Steps Cleaning traded in the vacuums and scrub brushes for aprons and serving spoons at Our Daily Bread in Baltimore. As part of our Fresh Start Initiative, Ron joined forces with other volunteers to serve hot meals and wipe down tables because sometimes cleaning up looks a little different than usual.

From plating hearty meals to scrubbing tables with the same care we give our clients’ homes, it was a reminder that a clean space and a warm meal both bring comfort and dignity. At 12-Steps Cleaning, we believe our mission extends beyond providing professional house cleaning services in Baltimore City, I t’s about building a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community.

Giving back isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we do. For every home we clean, we contribute funds for Fresh Start Hygiene Kit to individuals transitioning into safe housing. And when opportunities like this arise, we roll up our sleeves (literally) to serve our neighbors in need.

After all, a fresh start doesn’t always begin with a mop, it can start with a meal, a smile, or simply showing up.

Whether you’ve worked in housekeeping, janitorial services, as a cleaner, custodian, laborer, or floor technician— or have experience in front desk, retail, day care, or any other hospitality industry— we want to hear from you! We’re not just cleaning homes — we’re creating fresh starts for families across Baltimore.

At 12-Steps Cleaning, we believe people matter more than perfection. We offer solo cleaning roles (no team drama!), consistent hours, paid training, and a mission that gives back to survivors of domestic violence through our Fresh Start Campaign.

What You’ll Be Doing (besides making places sparkle!):

Learn our Speed Cleaning system (it’s a game-changer!)
Clean homes the right way, with care and attention
Inspect your work (and your team’s work, if you’re leading the charge!)
Maintain a 4-star+ satisfaction rating— happy clients = happy YOU!
Re-clean if needed(because perfection is always the goal)
Report jobs using our app (easy peasy!)
Pick up supplies for special tasks (we keep things stocked)
Complete paperwork (but don’t worry, it’s quick and simple)
Maintain cleaning equipment — because we like our gear to be fresh too!
We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Keeps things confidential— your clients trust you!
Returns keys/payments on point— we do things the right way
Communicates professionally— you’re friendly but know your boundaries
Reports client concerns to the office (we’ve got your back)
Wears the uniform and looks sharp — because first impressions matter!
Must-Haves:

Valid driver’s license and a solid driving record
Own a car (and we’ll reimburse you for business use)
Use your phone for business scheduling (it’s your work buddy!)
Direct deposit for your pay (no hassle!)
Cool with pets— they’re part of the family!
