Located in Baltimore, MD, the band features Dan Eaton, Eric DiNenna, John Vaeth, and Geoffrey Welchman. DAN EATON plays keyboards and melodica and sings with Hey Bulldog. Coming from a musical family, he started on guitar at 9, and later added trombone
, piano, bass and melodica. In high school he began arranging and orchestrating for the school chorus. He would go on to play in a variety of combos (jazz, blues, Celtic and folk). Dan's connection to the Beatles began when his older brother gave him one of their albums. From then on he was hooked, maintaining a lifelong love of their music. John got his first guitar on his 12th birthday, and was soon playing folk masses at his church. In high school he played in coffee houses, even landing a spot on a local TV program, “Showcase 13”. With a newfound a love for electric blues, he joined the Rain Dogs, playing in and around Baltimore for the next 15 years. After stints in bluegrass, country, and swing groups, he found himself in the band Island Breeze, playing all styles of music, even incorporating a Hawaiian flair when the gig calls for it. The Beatles have been a huge influence throughout his life, so jumped at the chance to join Hey Bulldog. ERIC DINENNA plays the drums with Hey Bulldog. A Maryland native, Eric started playing drums at the age of 5, and played his first gig at 15. Resettling in Nashville, he became a full-time session musician, playing with the likes of David Frizzell, T. Graham Brown, the Winters Brothers Band, Ed King (Lynyrd Skynyrd), and John Entwistle (the Who), among others. Eric has also written music for CNN, Fox Sports, and E TV. Moving back to Baltimore in 2020, he started playing the local circuit, eventually joining up with Hey Bulldog. His favorite Beatles song is “Something.”
GEOFFREY WELCHMAN plays bass and sings with Hey Bulldog. Geoffrey started playing bass and guitar in his teens. As bandleader, sideman, or soloist in NYC, he performed at CBGB, the Village Gate, and The Bitter End, and performed at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. He has written album reviews for People and Rolling Stone, composed music for television, and released two solo albums (Comfort Noise, One Band Man). Geoffrey has loved the Beatles since he was four, and saw the original Broadway production of “Beatlemania.” Taxman is his favorite Beatles song.
