Connecting volunteer buglers with families and organizations across America, bringing those 24 notes of Taps to life—notes that speak of gratitude, service, and love of country. Only 24 notes — but whose clear, sad tones conjure up memories of loved ones lost, instill hope, and bring comfort and peace to the families and communities of those whom have served with honor. 🇺🇸🎺 A Question From the Cemetery… 🎺🇺🇸

Recently, we had the privilege of visiting a cemetery to sound Taps for the funeral of a family friend. As always, it was a solemn reminder that those 24 notes are far more than music—they are gratitude, respect, and a final promise kept.

While we were there, something caught our attention.
Mounted nearby was this switch.

Do you know what it does?

If you guessed that it activates a speaker that plays a recorded version of Taps, you would be correct.
As advocates for the live sounding of Taps, seeing a switch like this always gives us pause. We understand why these devices exist, but there is something profoundly different when a living soul stands before a family and sounds those sacred notes from the heart.

No batteries. No speaker. No button.
Just a bugler. A breath. And a final act of gratitude.
What are your thoughts? 💭

Should the sound of farewell come from a switch… or from a person who has taken the time to be there?
We would love to hear your opinions.

🇺🇸🎺 What a Remarkable Few Weeks It Has Been… 🎺🇺🇸

Sometimes you have to pause, catch your breath, and simply say… thank you.

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of purpose, patriotism, and incredible people.

📺 We had the honor of sharing our story with millions through CBS Evening News.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day brought thousands of opportunities to remember and honor those who gave everything, as Taps for Veterans volunteers stood watch in communities across America, sounding those sacred 24 notes from the heart.

🎺 Taps Across America 2026 became our biggest year yet, with Americans from coast to coast joining together in a powerful National Moment of Remembrance.

🎶 Then it was off to the International Trumpet Guild (Official), where we met old friends, made new ones, and welcomed more musicians to our growing family.

Through it all, one thing has become abundantly clear:

People still believe that our veterans deserve more than a recording. People still understand that showing up matters.

People still recognize that those 24 notes are not merely music—they are gratitude, dignity, and a final promise kept.

And because of your support, we are humbled beyond words to share that our Facebook community has now grown to more than 23,000 followers.

Twenty-three thousand.

That number represents far more than followers. It represents Americans who believe in honoring service, preserving tradition, and ensuring that no veteran is forgotten.

To every volunteer who picked up a bugle.
To every family who entrusted us with a final farewell.
To every supporter who shared a post, left a comment, made a donation, or simply believed in our mission…

Thank you.

We are reminded of the words of President Abraham Lincoln: “The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

Together, we are creating a future where every veteran receives the dignity and honor they have earned.

The mission continues. 🇺🇸 24 Notes. 🎺 One Final Promise.

🇺🇸🎺 Twenty-Four Notes. One Final Promise. 🎺🇺🇸

There are moments in life when words are not enough.

A flag is folded. A family stands in silence. Tears fall.
And then…Taps. Just 24 notes.

No speeches. No applause. No fanfare.

Yet in those few sacred seconds, a lifetime of service is honored, a grateful nation speaks, and a family hears one final message:

“We remember. We are thankful. You will not be forgotten.”

This is why the volunteers of Taps for Veterans answer the call.

Not for recognition. Not for reward. But because every veteran deserves more than a recording. Every hero deserves a living tribute — a real person standing with a horn in hand and gratitude in their heart.

To sound Taps is not merely to play music.
It is to stand in the gap between a family’s grief and a nation’s gratitude.
It is one of the greatest privileges we will ever know.
To those who served, and to the families who carry their memories forward:

We see you. We honor you. We remember.
And as long as there are veterans to honor, we will continue to sound those 24 notes.

🎺 If you play trumpet or bugle, we invite you to join us in this sacred mission.

Because somewhere, someday, a family will need those 24 notes. And perhaps, they will hear them from you.

🇺🇸 24 Notes. One Final Promise.
