The Art Room meets a critical need in the historic Old Town Mall community and in the Baltimore arts community by providing local artists with the opportunity to create in a setting that will support their artistic development while offering them the resources necessary to advance their careers. This unique space allows artists of all ages to enhance the lives and communities around them through various community services and outreach efforts including: arts education, arts mentoring, and neighborhood cleaning and beautification. Through art exhibits and theatre & dance presentations the various functions of the arts including its therapeutic qualities will become an asset to other communities at-risk and the community-at-large.
