Baltimore Lab School Middle School students took Outdoor Education into the field with an overnight at Patapsco State Park, where they explored a stream with Mandy and Allison from .
Students found and identified macroinvertebratesโsmall organisms that help indicate the health of a waterway. They discovered pollution-sensitive species like mayflies, caddisflies, stoneflies, and water pennies, showing that this Patapsco tributary supports a healthy, diverse aquatic ecosystem. ๐๐
At BLS, hands-on learning helps students build confidence, curiosity, and real-world understanding. This trip also gave students time to connect with each other, enjoy the outdoors, and appreciate the peace and beauty of nature. ๐ณโจ

Inspired by ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ต by Peter H. Reynolds, this yearโs Lower and Middle School performance celebrated a powerful idea: sometimes one small mark is all it takes to begin discovering what you can do. ๐๏ธ
That spirit came to life as students shared their creativity, confidence, and joy through music, movement, theater, and student-created videos. Each moment was a reminder that every student has something meaningful to contribute. ๐ถ๐ฌ
At Baltimore Lab School, Make Your Mark is more than a performance theme. It reflects what happens every day in our classroomsโwhere students with learning differences are supported through innovative, arts-integrated, hands-on teaching that helps them discover their strengths, build confidence, and prepare to make their mark in the world. ๐๐๐
A huge round of applause for our student performers, directors, teachers, staff, families, and everyone who helped make this joyful celebration possible. ๐

Baltimore Lab Schoolโs High School students from all grades came together for a night that felt truly legendary. With the Mount Olympus theme setting the scene, students had the chance to dress up, dance, laugh, take photos, share food, and enjoy time together outside the school day. ๐๏ธ๐
And in true Mount Olympus fashion, our seniors were honored at the start of the night with their โProm Royaltyโ sashesโbecause every great celebration needs a few gods, goddesses, kings, and queens. ๐โก
A special shoutout to Mr. Matthews, BLS technology teacher and prom DJ, for keeping the music going and the dance floor moving all night long! ๐ง๐ถ
More than just a fun night out, prom was a chance for our High Schoolers to connect, celebrate one another, and make memories that will stay with them long after the final song. ๐ซ
