Why, you ask? Simply put: because the photo & video industries we work in DO NOT ADVOCATE FOR FREELANCE STYLISTS.

Due to the huge lack of resources in our industry, unrepresented & non-unionized stylists are left to navigate this space essentially on their own. This unfortunately puts many (if not all) of us in the position of potentially being taken advantage of by clients & leaves us vulnerable if we don't have contracts in place to protect ourselves and our work.

Not only have we been burnt before, but EVERY. SINGLE. STYLIST. we've ever spoken to has been burnt as well (some ghosted on payments, some put into thousands of $$ in project debt, others not getting credited in major publications for their work…the list goes on).

BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
We're here to say that creating & implementing your own contract is not only possible, but it’s the best way to protect yourself and take control of your livelihood!

Not only have we been successfully issuing & perfecting our own stylist contract for the last 5 years, we recently teamed up with a lawyer (specializing in contract law w/ photo industry clients) to create a fool-proof Downloadable & Customizable Stylist Contract Template that any stylist can use to protect themselves and their business!
