After carefully choosing his gift from the Toy Workshop during last year’s Christmas ToyMania, this young man quietly stood in the school hallway, awaiting the rest of his class to join him. He carefully placed his gift on the ground beside him so that he could open up the goodie bag to see what surprises hid inside.

One of these surprises displayed a colorful depiction of the story of salvation and Christ’s sacrifice for us. When this young man also discovered the reason why we celebrate Christmas, he excitedly exclaimed, “IT’S JESUS’ BIRTHDAY?!?!!” He never even knew.

But this gave us the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with this young man. A simple gesture, a toy received, led to an open door - within a public school! - to share Jesus. Wow.
