It’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this for 5 years. So grateful for where we are now. Learned some things along the way:
1. You can do a lot with a little. You don’t need a gorgeous studio, an expensive website, or lots of products to start.
2. Don’t rush the process. Take your time to research, learn, and test. Rushing leads to mediocrity. Prioritize quality over speed for a product you can be proud of.
3. Get to know your neighbors. The vendor community in Buffalo is amazing! You can learn from everyone, no matter what they make/sell.

How do you judge a good candle?
• Does the wax pool extend to the edges of the vessel evenly?
•Does the wick mushroom and give off smoke?
•Is the flame really large?
•Is there soot on the jar?
• Is there residual wax on the jar that hasn’t burned? (Is the candle tunneling?)
•Is the hot throw (fragrance throw while burning) still going strong?
These are looking great! Passing the test with flying colors! So happy with this batch so far!
