“I’m going to stop reaching for things/people that keeps hurting me”

06/06/2026

The scary thing about unhealed pain is that it doesn’t stay where it started.

It follows you.

Into your relationships.
Into your marriage.
Into your parenting.
Into your friendships.
Into your decisions.
Into the way you see yourself.

You can bury it.

You can distract yourself.

You can convince everyone around you that you’re fine.

But pain doesn’t disappear because you ignore it.

It just changes shape.

It becomes anger.
It becomes distance.
It becomes self-sabotage.
It becomes addiction.
It becomes emotional numbness.
It becomes a life that looks good from the outside but feels empty on the inside.

The hurt you hide is still hurting you.

And until you heal what wounded you, you’ll keep bleeding on people who never cut you.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, I want every man reading this to know:

You are not weak for struggling.
You are not broken because you’re hurting.
And you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

The strongest thing a man can do is face the pain he’s spent years running from.

If this hit home, follow .

And if you’re ready to stop surviving and start healing, send me a message. Your future self is waiting on the other side of that decision.
