They need to be able to have some way of regulations forcing the broker to pay the driver for their time! I’m not saying the carrier but detention should be paid to the drivers and only the driver for sitting in a dock with no facilities. Layovers and etc should be paid to the carrier and then it should be the carriers responsibility to compensate the driver.
Again and Again, detention needs to be regulated by law or broker carrier agreement, but until we are playing the game of who's right or wrong there won't find a solution for it, drivers will keep asking for money all the time and broker will do all the can not to pay. And we need accurate tracking from drivers proving locations and time of arrival and departure, end of the story.
