If you’re applying for a U.S. passport, be careful how you get to the official website.

Scammers are creating lookalike sites that show up in search results when people Google passport information. These sites may charge extra fees for forms that are free through the official government website.

✔️ The ONLY official site is: travel.state.gov
✔️ You do NOT have to pay to access passport forms

Common scam signs:

Charging “processing” or “expediting” fees for basic applications

Websites that look official but have strange URLs

Asking for personal information before directing you to the real site

To stay safe:
Type travel.state.gov directly into your browser — don’t rely on search results. If you search travel.state.gov the first site you will be directed to is mypassporthub. This site charges fees over and above what a passport usually costs.

We would love to help you with your passport needs but once you've given your money to one of these sites, we cannot help you recover that money. Adult passports cost $130.00 which is payable ONLY to the US Department of State and $35.00 which is payable to the passport acceptance agency. Expedite fees do cost more but the basic cost of a passport is listed. Please don't give more of your hard earned money to scammers. When in doubt, call us at 229-248-3025.
