Happy Welcome Weekend, Cougars!🐾

We're so pleased to welcome both our new and returning students home to campus. We're truly excited to see all the amazing things this school year will bring for our APU community!

On Saturday, August 9th, we will be testing the Campus alarm/P.A. system on the Azusa Campuses at noon. Unless other instructions are given, there is no emergency. The alarm at noon is just a test.

As a reminder, the use of fireworks are prohibited on all APU campuses.

Hot weather is here and heat stroke can happen fast. Here are quick tips to stay cool and safe:

💧 Hydrate — Drink water often, not just when you're thirsty
👕 Dress smart — Light and loose clothing helps regulate body temp
🌳 Take breaks — Rest in the shade or inside with A/C
☀️ Avoid peak heat — Try to stay indoors between 11am and 3pm
⚠️ Know the signs — Watch for dizziness, confusion, or dry skin
🚗 Never leave anyone in a hot car — After just 20 minute on an 80 degree day, the inside of a car can get up to 109 degrees Fahrenheit

Call 911 or Campus Safety right away if you or someone else shows symptoms of heat related illness.
