Ahead of National Automotive Service Professionals Day, June 12, we want to shout out the crew in the shop who keep our fleet running.
Part mechanic, part plumber, and a dangerous amount of electrician, these guys (and I’m missing photos of two of them) are miracle workers when it comes to fire trucks.

In addition to regular maintenance, they troubleshoot and fix pumps, valves, and all the water delivery portions of the vehicle.

Oh, and sometimes, we have little bitty oopsies. They fix those too. firefighters are hard on trucks.

Our guys don’t even have baling wire or duct tape, but if they did, they could work magic!

In addition, they facilitate the mandatory pump testing of EVERY. SINGLE. apparatus that moves water.

It’s a big job, and these guys do big work, and we are so thankful.

Swipe for before and after!

This afternoon, a cottonwood fell across Road 3000, completely blocking the road.

Fortunately we carry chainsaws and strong backs on our trucks, and had the road re-opened in about 40 minutes.

I guess in this case, the fire part was just making firewood!

If you were wondering, traffic is reopened on Road 3000.
