It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we have to clean ourselves up before we can truly approach God. We spend so much energy trying to hit an invisible benchmark of "goodness," constantly measuring our daily performance, and carrying the exhausting weight of trying to earn our way into His favor. But when we operate on that kind of religious treadmill, we completely miss the heart of the Gospel.

The liberating truth is that your salvation does not depend on your works, your track record, or how well you have your life together. Our works apart from Christ are nothing. True righteousness is a gift of grace, completely anchored in the finished work of Jesus. When you stop striving to save yourself and fully surrender to Him, holy living and good works naturally follow. They aren't the price you pay to be loved; they are the grateful byproduct of a life that has been transformed by His grace.
