9:09 PM - Flooding ongoing over NW Travis and W Williamson counties. 4”-6”+ of rain just west of Leander.

A number of low water crossing are closed. Turn around don’t drown.

Need to keep an eye on water levels on the north and south forks of the San Gabriel River, Big Sandy Creek, and Brushy Creek.

6:23 PM - The flooding concern continues to ramp up through this evening for the Austin-area and Central Texas. Torrential downpours will train over certain areas, and will produce pockets of 1”-3” of rain with isolated totals 6”+ possible.

Not everyone will see bad flooding, but confidence is increasing with that pockets of flooding will develop, potentially significant in spots.

Have a way to get flood alerts, especially in prone areas. Also, don’t drive through flooded roads. Then around don’t drown.
