In my new series on my patreon page I start a conversation about a song, get your comments and questions and revisit a few days later. No. 1 is GLIMMER from our latest album - I’m partnering with El Paso Community Foundation to raise money and support during 🌈 - here’s my full statement:

There’s a song on our new record called Glimmer. This is what Glimmer means in defined terms- Micro-moments of joy or comfort that shift your nervous system into a relaxed, grounded state. The reason I titled it Glimmer is because it’s a song about love- about finding love that alters your very being. Love that renews and eclipses sadness or worry or darkness. I wanted to take a moment in all of these troubles we are besieged with to invite Love into our collective hearts. Love between two people, period- no explanation of who or why you love, just that you love. This is a time we celebrate those who have to fight just to love and I am with them in this fight. Love is joy and we need more of that. Happy Pride.

Yo! I’m beyond grateful for all the love and support leading up to our release tomorrow- we’ve been burning the candle at all three ends with press/rehearsals/etc - I took a break from it all to recharge my batteries at El Pasoans Fighting Hunger this morning. It definitely puts things in perspective and feels so good to interact with my community- it’s so easy to consume music these days without spending money, and I’m fine with that- but if you stream our record and it hits you in the right places maybe be you could send a couple bucks towards - they are struggling like so many not for profits are and they do incredible work- thanks for reading this.
