The '29 Kikiwaka Team recently returned from an unforgettable Summer Wilderness Trip, paddling the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas! 🛶💦 These Explorers have come so far in the two years since joining Explore Austin as 12-year-olds. One Mentor shared:
“We gathered the Explorers to set new expectations, recognizing how much they've grown. The girls didn’t just adapt—they thrived! They immediately stepped up, supporting each other and taking initiative beyond their assigned roles. Their teamwork, courage, and leadership were inspiring. I am so proud of them.”
This trip was more than an adventure—it was a powerful reminder of what happens when youth are empowered to lead, support, and grow together.
