This story and movement is close and dear to my heart because it happened to our family. In 2011, at age 1, my nephew was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called, Earwig Sarcoma; today, he is a survivor of 3 years. Blessed as our family is to have won this battle so far, there are many other little angles who are still fighting for their lives, and, those who have lost to a number of child cancer diseases, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and brain cancer.
In efforts to raise more awareness and help the struggling families at Texas Children's Hospital, and around the US, my sister started the JIBTC Foundation in 2012.
