One year ago, the Holly Fishing Pier opened to the community — and since then, it’s become so much more than a place to fish. It’s become a gathering space for learning, celebration, art, and connection.

Over the past year, the pier has been home to some incredible moments:
🎣 In July, the next generation of anglers cast their lines during a community fishing derby with the Mendez Recreation Center.
☃️ In December, families gathered along the waterfront to celebrate the season at Santa on the Trail.
🎨 In March, the site welcomed artist T.J. Lemanski’s 2026 TEMPO on the Trail installation, Cenotaphs.
🪻 And this May, the first wildflowers of the season bloomed nearby — a reminder that this space continues to grow alongside the community.

Here’s to one year of memories at the Holly Fishing Pier, and many more to come.
