π§ Behavior Summary
Ollie is a young, energetic, social shepherd mix who displays typical adolescent behaviors that are amplified by the shelter environment.
Observed notes include:
β’ Very wiggly body, fast wagging tail, soft facial expression
β’ Friendly and social with people and other dogs
β’ Excitable and jumpy when seeking attention
β’ Walks on a tight leash due to forward pulling; food motivation is present but impulse control is still developing
β’ Vocal in kennel at times, especially when other dogs are barking or during busy hours
β’ Does not want handlers to leave and shows attachment-seeking behavior
π¨ Ollieβs behaviors are not aggression-related β they reflect youth, excitement, lack of structure, and shelter stress. With training, exercise, and consistency, he has strong potential to be an excellent companion.

π PLEA FOR OLLIE
Ollie is only 1 year old β still a puppy at heart β full of energy, curiosity, and affection. The shelter has become overwhelming for him, and without an outlet for his drive and enthusiasm, his behaviors are being misunderstood.
Ollie doesnβt need to die for being young, excited, and untrained. He needs guidance, exercise, and someone willing to help him grow into the dog heβs meant to be.
Behind the jumping and pulling is a happy, social dog who wants connection and companionship. One foster, one adopter, or one rescue can change his entire future.
β° Ollie will be euthanized on 1/6/2026 if no one steps forward.
