In this article, I challenge worship leaders and team members to think about what happens before the rehearsal and worship begins. Practice is more than learning songs—it is a response to the gifts, opportunities, and calling God has entrusted to us.

Scripture teaches that God values both our hearts and our skills, and preparation is one way we honor Him, our team, and the people we serve. I share why rehearsals should not replace personal practice, why faithfulness matters even when attendance is low, and how preparation helps create an environment where people can focus on worship.

If worship ministry matters enough to lead, it matters enough to prepare for.
