ATX Kickball

y ATX Kickball? ATX Kickball is a player-focused league; what started in Ft. Worth as a “for players, by players” league is now spreading through Texas. Kickball leagues run by larger companies eventually lose focus and aim to churn out seasons without concern for the fun & sociability of the leagues. ATX Kickball wants the best games, best on-field fun, and best bar scene, and we want that to be true every season. Who is ATX Kickball? ATX Kickball is run by a group of players that love kickball. Thayne Dettman (ginger, Austin, TX) is the man in charge, and Levi Barnard (beard, Ft Worth, TX) is running backend support for the league(s). They have a team of kickball-loving weirdos helping to keep the show running smoothly. When & where? Current season (fall 2017): Thursdays @ Rosewood Park; game times at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm. The sponsor bar is TBD right now, but we’re hoping for a bar that is very convenient to the fields. Most importantly: what is the ball like? In ATX Kickball, we like to do a throwback to your high school days: blue balls. They’re 10” balls (similar to other national kickball brands), so you can actually kick them without breaking your leg off. This may be the one time in life that blue balls are the best balls.
