Heading into the Gregorian New Year, a few things are top of mind for New Origin Shop: streamlining, shedding, pivoting—and rest (it’s still winter, after all).

Less overwhelm. Less pressure. Less algorithm.

I’m taking a step back from Instagram for a while—not from New Origin Shop, but from the constant demand to show up here. I already used this space less in 2025, and I’m choosing to decrease even more in 2026.

Over the past year, some of my most meaningful moments happened offline—travel, time away, perspective. At the same time, customers have continued to find and support the shop through previous connection, word of mouth, my website, Google, and Pinterest. That’s what I want to keep building on.

I’m choosing to put more energy into slower, more tangible forms of connection—and into returning to in-person events. I have a January pop-up confirmed and will be sharing details with my email community soon. I
