In a galaxy 1500 miles away, a long, long time ago, I made money with my face. This ad not only helped pay for my first son’s birth, it also became the basis a nickname for quite some time. I have no idea why they hated my voice enough to dub me or why I was cast in the commercial, but the director was a big deal in music videos and I was happy to have a paycheck. The only drawback, really, was a hilarious Village Voice article written about whether I was attractive or not. 🤦🏻‍♂️ You’re welcome.
