In time it will serve as a vehicle to transform health care in Central Texas and the US. (Kari + sha) They taught me the art, humanity, and service of medicine. I had the privilege of watching them create an amazing economically and ethnically diverse medical practice in Bryan with a free medical clinic that continues to be my inspiration for what I want to do today. I wish to take their work to the next level. Karisha Community bridges food, medicine and health by bringing medical providers, healthy food, and healing practitioners under one roof in a community space. Karisha Community will house a teaching kitchen, yoga-physical therapy-dance studio, and a networking space with tea, snacks, and great wi fi. It will be co-located with an integrative health and medicine clinic, Karisha Health, that will provide acute, chronic and walk-in medical care to the community.
