2 Degrees Off Center

Finally got my bead put together and some art hung. My cobblers child house is always last. Still need a fluffy duvet but really like how the art grouping came out by just using things lying around the house. The only thing new, and not repurposed/scavenged is the headboard.

I'm developing a new course on living in the and I couldn't help but laugh when I put these two things together. It's amazing how many things from Science Fiction are either in our lives now or will be very soon. Welcome to the Brave New World of Design!!!

Mother Nature - Still the greatest Designer ever. How is that for palette inspiration??

Looking forward to teaching two great design seminars in Tampa and Estero, Florida this week. I will be teaching the audience of Florida Architects and Interior Designers about two big technology categories for residential design; Home Automation and LED/OLED Lighting.

Technology is being integrated into homes globally at breakneck speed with the global industry growing from $32 billion in 2015 to a forecast $78 billion in 2022. The largest segment of this global market is the U.S. and is being driven by both the Baby Boomers and the Millenials.

I'm so happy to be able to instruct design professionals about these new technologies to help them understand what is out there now, what is coming and how they can help their clients.

Like it or not, Home Automation is coming and the design industry will be heavily impacted.
