What do you do at Leadership Austin?
I feel like I’m a SWISS army knife. Or a multitool. Is that the same thing or just a specific brand? Anyways, I just do fundraising, development, and event related tasks. Long-term, I should be building out and maintaining a stewardship system that ensures all our supporters are always connected to our organization and feel well taken care of. Simple enough! But we have data and software and messaging stuff to sort out first. So long story short, I make sure all fundraising work is moving forward, and most importantly – our donors know how much we value their belief in Leadership Austin.

Favorite part of your role:
Honestly, I really like my direct team of Julia, Simone, and Sarita. I feel like I really fit in. It’s just a special thing I don’t take for granted, knowing that I can joke around and still get stuff accomplished with my team. Plus, they’re all weirdos like me :)

Favorite Austin Spot:
Maybe Habanero’s Mexican Cafe? El Dorado Mexican Cafe? Workhorse? My house? Hard to pick just one thing.

Summer Goal:
I would like to get all the drains cleaned up at my house. This would fulfill me and likely carry me emotionally to the end of November.

Current Hyperfixation:
I bought this mini, mobile CRT TV, and I want to finish editing this video to play through that. But I need to work through a variety of adaptors to make it work. It’s a silly project in outdated technology for the sake of…doing the thing, I guess.
