We are currently taking new clients on a case-by-case basis and offer everything from basic bath and blowout to shavedowns to full styling and scissor trims. We're back for another dog of Austin Pet Stylist! This time, we have Parker (AKA Brown Bear, Parkie, Queenie, and Parker Paloo) 🩷 Parker is a 14-year-old senior sweetie who just wants to get scratches and p**p in the house. Her energy has always been super calm and chill compared to her sister Kimchi, and she seems completely unaffected by her sister’s shrieking barks. With her aging, she struggles with back and hip issues so we are keeping her comfy and giving her all the love she desires. You may have even seen her signature purple tail around the salon! 💜🐶
Little Zouzou did great for his first groom. He’s learning to tolerate the dryer and brushing, but practice makes perfect. He was remarkably calm for his paw trim! 🐾🩷
Grooming puppies can be a challenge at times. It’s our job as groomers to show them it’s not scary and doesn’t hurt. There are lots of new noises and feelings with the blow dryer and vibration of the clippers and dremel; remaining calm and giving praise and breaks when needed are essential. The key is to get them in early and regularly to keep their training up and reinforce the good behavior!
