Sad the Cavalier’s River Parade was cancelled but at least I got to join my buddy John Paul Barajas on the desk for the first time in a while!
Fighting words from both Senator John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton as they head into a runoff election for Cornyn’s senate seat. With just a few percentage points separating the two, they are prepared to battle it out until the runoff in May.
EXCLUSIVE: My interview with Ellen Helton, whose daughter, Susan Helton, was just sentenced to 40 years in prison for abusing and neglecting two adopted children.
The District Attorney's office said Susan starved the kids and put them in cages when they would try to "steal food." The kids were removed in 2018, including the 14-year-old girl who weighed 40 pounds.
I knocked on the door of that home and Ellen answered, inviting me inside. She defended her daughter and said the kids were not starved.
