Austin Soundwaves launched on October 17, 2011 by giving 41 students the opportunity to learn the violin, viola, cello, or percussion. Students receive an instrument, as well as all supplies, lesson books, and at least 10 hours of weekly instruction by expert teaching artists free of charge. We are so excited to introduce our friends Keep Austin Kind, a new initiative that centers kindness through intentional giving and community impact.
Keep Austin Kind thoughtfully designs merchandise collections that celebrate the friendliness of Austin! A percentage of every sale is reinvested into our community. We are honored to have been selected as their first nonprofit partner, and we are thankful for their support of music education.
We had so much fun showing the Keep Austin Kind team around Summer Music Camp this year, and they were even kind enough to bring us some of their awesome merch.

Join us at branches across the city for Baby's First Symphony! 🎶 For infants 0-18 months old, our ensemble will perform baby-friendly classical music before instrument play time. We can't wait to see you there. 👶
