Here at SRD we’re excited to introduce our new SRD team members! Please join us in welcoming the new SRD Event Director, Marley Kotick.
Marley attended UT Austin and lived at SRD from 2017-2020 where she was also an RA. After graduation, Marley worked as a teacher and is excited to be returning to SRD. Her favorite thing about SRD is the community of girls each year and she looks forward to getting to know the upcoming group!
Be sure and say Hi to Marley next time you’re at SRD.

It’s SRD Saturday Story Time July 4th, 250th Edition! There are lots of patriotic items around the dorm, a sculpture of Mt. Rushmore for example, but who knew some of our heirloom flower bed plants even had a patriotic start?!
McClendon Presents Flag
Judge J. W. McClendon, of the Commission of Appeals, speaking on “The Dormitory,” pointed to the dormitory as a material expression of the ideals of Freemasonry. In conclusion, he presented to the dormitory board an American flag from the home of George Washington and a box of growing ivy taken from Washington’s tomb, the gifts of Mrs. T. S. Maxey. The ceremonies finished, the visitors were officially introduced to the girls of the dormitory, and everyone who wished was shown the interior of the dormitory from top to bottom.
