Baking cakes here in France was in the beginning...umm...well.....complicated. While I had a hard time at first trying to find all the basics (flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder) and then navigating a grocery store in another country...well... I wasn't sure if I would ever bake cakes as good as I did in the U.S. I had to start from the beginning with A.L.L. of my recipes.Not a single recipe I had made in CO worked here in France. So with time and a serious amount of patience (and learning some french, and researching ingredients,and learning how to bake in Celsius temps😳!) there is a little bit of joy that is sprouting from small successes like this cute little baby girl cake I made for a friend's shower. I'm learning and growing and being stretched this year in 💯 million ways....mais je ne l'aurais pas une autre façon!

BIG NEWS!!
After nine years in business, I have officially closed Icing and Sprinkles. Our family has been given a great opportunity to move to France and we are accepting! I can't tell you have honored and blessed I've been to have such great customers who embraced my talent and encouraged me to grow this business into something bigger than I had ever imagined!
