The most interactive artworks at Untitled Art, Miami Beach 2025 (@untitledartfairs) were the sound sculptures by Colombian artist Leonel Vásquez (@leonel_sound_artist). Presented by Casa Hoffmann (@casa_hoffmann), the works feature rocks gathered from rivers in Colombia and generate sound through hand-built analog amplifying systems. Wooden needles, resonant membranes, brass bugles, resonance boxes, and electric motors transform natural materials into immersive instruments. My Modern Met was on the scene and placed a microphone near the bugles to fully capture the sound. The results were surprising, revealing rich layers of resonance.
