“All that matters when the sun goes down is that you did your best, you gave your individuality, your passion takes care of the rest.”
~ Hannah Williams, “Win or Lose”
Hannah C Williams is a singer, songwriter, and creative producer whose soulful blend of a powerful voice, authenticity and heart-centered storytelling has been her signature for over two decades. Alongside her husband and longtime
musical partner Damon Williams, she continues to create, record, and produce music that transcends genre through their label, The Moon Records**, and production company, Moon Jade Productions. From rock and blues to reggae, folk, and soul, Hannah and Damon’s music is rooted in honesty and emotion; songs that tell stories of resilience, love, and transformation. Their sound evokes both the grounding of the earth and the mystery of the moon, a balance of masculine and feminine energy, captured through raw vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and soulful grooves. Hannah’s vocal range is dynamic, from low and smoky to clean and ethereal, or a bluesy wail reminiscent of her biggest influences growing up, Edie Brickell, Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, Bonnie Raitt, Ella Fitzgerald, Janis Joplin, and Etta James. For her, perfection takes a backseat to truth. “The delivery is more important than trying to sound perfect. However the song feels in the moment is how it comes out.”
Raised by an artistic family in Los Angeles, Hannah began performing early, taking voice lessons at twelve, and writing her first songs by sixteen. After studying music in Hollywood and graduating with honors, she spent several years fronting bands and performing across L.A. before relocating to Austin, Texas, where she and Damon found their musical home. Her debut album, "Bare Bones (2012)", produced with Damon Williams and Jacob Gonzales and mixed by Grammy Award winner Kennie Takahashi (Norah Jones, The Black Keys, Gnarls Barkley), marked her emergence as a solo artist. The album showcased Hannah’s “silver lining” songwriting style, weaving optimism and introspection through a soulful, rock-driven lens. Beyond performing, Hannah continues to write and record prolifically, contributing to community causes and artist development projects. Through **Moon Jade Productions**, she and Damon coach and produce emerging artists, helping them find their authentic sound and share their stories with the world. Now, with The Moon Records, the duo is releasing both archival and new music, a collection of songs crafted from the heart, rooted in vulnerability, and illuminated by the belief that real music and real life are inseparable.
