With Tex-Mex & Velvet Taco 1,377 miles away, the UCLA Nashaa excavators took a pit stop: Austin, Texas! 🌮🌯

Our hunger joyfully guided us to an unexpected excavation at UT Austin. Getting to know our amazing liaisons and while eating our pre-mixer Chipotle, we were set up for a journey of a lifetime. Thank you to for not only satiating our hunger for food, but also for dance and shared community.

We had a (Baja) blast sharing the stage with such dedicated teams. Congratulations to , , and Arkansas Atrangi for their respective placings!

We would also like to pay our respects for Savitha Shanmugasundaram. We did not have to know her personally to confidently say that she was a catalyst for joy and love for everyone around her. Savitha’s presence and impact extend beyond the physical as is facilitating a scholarship in her name. As we close off on UCLA Nashaa’s 2026 season, we would like to recognize the people who worked behind the scenes to make our performance come to life. 👏🎬

These 10 individuals have demonstrated their dedication to the team through long practices and sleepless nights. We are lucky to consider them as our role models as we transition to a new board for the next season. Not only have they facilitated community through the shared passion for dance, but they have also left us with amazing memories and stories to share.

Feeling homesick, the UCLA Nashaa excavators wanted to take a stop somewhere familiar: Berkeley, California. 🏡🪞Half of UCLA Nashaa excavators are from the Bay Area. Some may consider it a red flag, but we only use orange and yellow flags in our set. 🫣

Arriving at Berkeley, we were surprised to see that UC Berkeley’s biggest steppers were our liaisons: Jash Desai, Ashni, & eshika singh. Their underground methods guided us to the mummy, defeating the threat once and for all. Thank you to the three as well as for hosting an excavation filled with laughter and joy!

What a splendid time we had watching all the teams compete. Congratulations to ZOR at UC San Diego, UTD Raftaar, & Texas Talaash for their respective placings.

The UCLA Nashaa Excavators made it to their first stop: Columbia, South Carolina! 🪏🗺️🧭 Logging in more than 24 hours in the airport due to unforeseen weather, we persevered, got to our destination, and met an infamous mummy. 🧟‍♀️

Thank you to Aag Ki Raat: Night of Fire for hosting such a fun excavation. Digging out 3rd🥉, UCLA Nashaa wouldn’t have accomplished such placing without the help of our wonderful liaisons: Aavan & Keerthana.
