Was in Tampa FL for Tampa Bay Comic Convention
I needed a burger. After scrolling thru Reddit looking for Burg advice, and then comparing it against my hotel map .. I decided to Uber Eats a place called Byte.

I ordered their classic double w/ cheese, and their bbq bacon burger. (I also ordered fries, but they didn’t provide ketchup .. so .. straight into the trash with that fried potato poison.)

So .. the burgs arrive and .. disappointment hits immediately. Just the vibe. And the lack of ketchup for the fries. Bad signs.

Oh no .. their classic Byte burger has about a pound of gross mayo sauce spooned on top. It’s messy and frankly disgusting. I’m bummed dudes!!
Luckily .. the bbq bacon burger is pretty dang good. Or at least, by comparison, it doesn’t suck boy-biscuits. The bbq sauce is okay, but the beef bacon was legit delicious! The burg was cooked okay .. but the crunchy onions were a welcome umami fix.

Suffice to say… I didn’t finish either burger, didn’t even taste the fries, and highly recommend avoiding this joint altogether .. unless you are Dutch and like to eat mayonnaise with a spoon.

Update! The moment I got back to ATX - I made a pilgrimage to morenoburgerco for a fire smashburger. Immediately fixed by 🍔❤️ 🤓. Thank God for Texas !!!
