KING Mentoring and Partnerships for Children proudly present their first-ever Singer-Songwriter Competition — KING Sings for a Dream! This exciting peer-to-peer fundraising event invites talented artists to showcase their original music while supporting Kids in a New Groove (KING) — a Central Texas music mentoring program that provides free, weekly private lessons to youth with experience in the child welfare system. Through one-on-one music mentorship, KING empowers young people to build confidence, creativity, and lasting connections that help transform their lives.

Participants in KING Sings for a Dream have the chance to win an incredible grand prize package, including $2,000 cash, an 8-hour recording session at King Electric Studios, a $250 Strait Music gift card, and a live performance at Austin’s legendary Antone’s. Each vote cast in the competition equals a donation directly supporting KING’s mission — helping Central Texas youth access the life-changing power of music.
