I’ve been seeing the heartwarming “who I was in the 90’s” trend all over my feed, and as a photographer, it highlights how deeply important photography is.

The nostalgia, the reminiscing, the evidence of time… all of it exists because someone took the photo 📸

At the time, being photographed probably felt ordinary.
Like it was just another day.

Then time moved.

Now you’re looking back at moments you get to see, not just remember.

You see the youthfulness.
The difference in taste, lifestyle.
What was.

And you get to appreciate who you’ve became and how you’ve evolved.

That’s what photography does ❤️

It lets you feel the impact of time.

And I know it can feel like something extra.
Something you can always do later.

But later doesn’t capture who you are now.
