The Invisible Things tour with + was something I won’t forget.

Poetry, laughter, tears, the words of Christ.
Strangers who felt like friends.
That quiet “two or more” presence when we sang together.

I’m leaving those nights more convinced than ever:
beauty is a kind of resistance — against despair, against hatred, against faithlessness — and a discipline toward love and hope.

It was a bright light in the middle of winter.

In a culture of hurry, distraction, and constant production, I believe beauty is a kind of resistance. It nourishes. It heals. It reorients. I’m feeling throughly reoriented after “Beauty As Well As Bread” No. 6 last night. Steuart Pincombe played Bach Cello Suite in D Minor, Fr. Maximos Constas gave a soul searing lecture on “Music and the Experience of God”, and we all lingered afterwards. Tremendously grateful to and for supporting and hosting this little ecosystem of presence.

This Jesus Album tour has been something else. My heart is as full as the rooms. Feeling deep gratitude for everyone who has come and who has listened to the new record. Last night with has been a long time coming. It was a celebration of what is happening in our little corner of devotional music — beauty, laughter, stillness and tears, piercing worship and healing presence through quiet and attention. Thank you, Lord.
