DIY tags for July 4th? Yep! — whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Coming out of social media hibernation to remind y’all that not everyone likes fireworks. Especially your dogs.

If their tags don’t have your CURRENT contact info or they don’t have tags, you can make one with a little masking tape and a marker.

And keep their collars on throughout the fireworks. Even while in your house.

Whatever it takes.

Also, these kick ass collars are from !

Really good info on some of the more well-known pet food brands and why you should be aware of what you’re feeding.

Looking into the quality of your pet’s food can help both your pet and your wallet.

Here we like to keep people educated. One of the biggest things we hear is that price is a factor on food they buy. And sometimes it’s hard to explain the difference between food. I put together this in the store to give a visual difference.
All of the food in the container is a daily recommend feeding serving for a 50lb dog.
The jar on the left has popular brands and have the least amount of nutrition and are filled with so many fillers and not actually protein. Alot of them have by-products (road kill or animals that are roughting is ok to be used in by-products).
The middle jar is a step up from the first jar. Blue Buffalo has great marketing and their ingredients are ok. They do not use by-products. They do use alot of potatoes as fillers and tapioca. Tapioca is the worst carb and filler for 🐕dogs and cats 🐈. But they do use meat and meat meal. They have a comparison chart online that shows they are better than all the brands in first jar. And they are. But notice how much you still have to feed.
Jar on the right is some of the food that we sell in the store. We have the highest quality of food on the market. No by-products, most all of the food is grain free, and if you look at the amount you feed twice as less as the other brands with alot less nutritional value for your dog.
So feeding a higher quality food you will actually pay less as you feed them less. And no they will not be hungry as it’s the same amount.
Plus they will 💩 less. And we all want less 💩.
I hope this is helpful and you share it with all your friends with fur babies.

We all want our dogs to be happy! 🤩

So what makes dogs happy? Lots of the same things that make us happy: having basic needs (like nourishment 🥙 and safety 🏠) met, feeling loved 🥰 in relationships with our friends and family, and interacting meaningfully with our environment 🏞.

But our dogs don’t always have the freedom to seek out those meaningful interactions with their environment, so it’s up to us as their guardians to provide opportunities….and if we don’t, our dogs may be bored 😑, frustrated 😖, or depressed 😞 (and express it through behaviors we’d rather they wouldn’t).

The good news is that opportunities abound! 🙌 Offering novel foods, taking a different route on the daily walk, and keeping toys in rotation so there’s always a “new” one (that will be relegated back to the box again after this round, ready to magically reappear again in the future) are some easy, low-cost ways to pique your dog’s curiosity and encourage exploration.

And, you needn’t buy expensive accessories to spice up a snack or meal time: divvy up your dog’s dinner into the wells in an egg carton, or fill each cavity with a unique small (and nutritious) treat to provide environmental enrichment that nourishes the body and the mind!

In The Forever Dog LIFE, we’ll give you even more ways to keep your dog’s 🐶(and cat’s 🐱!) brain 🧠 engaged with simple enrichment ideas designed to keep them healthy - and happy!

This is Dave. Say 👋🏾 to Dave.

In order to get his pork jerky treats, he had to chill out.

And how did the human get him to chill? ➡️ See the 2nd slide. We love Dave.
