Established in the year 2000 as Galton, Cunningham & Bourgeois, PLLC. Together the founders (pictured above) dreamed up what is now Lakeside Mediation Center and are proud to celebrate its official 23rd birthday!

Please join us in wishing the brilliant Eric Galton a happy 70th birthday! Since co-founding Lakeside Mediation in 2000, Eric has been a national cornerstone in the field of mediation. Aside from his always busy mediation schedule, Eric is a Past President of the International Academy of Mediators, a designated SuperLawyer for the past 13 years, and was recently selected as one of the Global Elite Thought Leaders of 2021 by WWL. We appreciate you and all that you do!

Lakeside Mediation Center is pleased to announce that it will continue into the next decade using primarily virtual formats, and in-person in accordance with CDC advisories.

Our beautiful home by the lake will become part of Mozart's expansion and will continue to serve up great coffee and music.*

In 1968, I attended the HemisFair World Fair in San Antonio, Texas where they had a booth set up with a mock video telephone conference. It was nothing more than a couple of grainy black and white television sets on a closed circuit camera with an open microphone, but it was designed to show the promise of the future.

This week, I completed my 100th online mediation since the pandemic began. The technology is intuitive and seamless and has worked so well that we are seeing the same or higher settlement rates.

As John Prine once wrote - "We are living in the future"
